The music is broadcast digitally without a DJ and focuses on a specific musical genre: classical, jazz, folk, rock, etc. The service is distributed by Galaxy and Max Trax (direct-to-home satellite distribution companies) and by all major cable distributors across Canada.

Operating licenses are issued by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), an independent agency responsible for regulating Canada's broadcasting and telecommunications systems.
